Look what came in the mail today!! After taking a cake decorating class, I learned that I need a real stand up mixer to make buttercream. I found this great deal from Amazon last week. Along with the rebate, Amazon gift card that I had, Erlin + Willie chipping in, I decided to get this Kitchen Aid Mixer! It looks so good in the kitchen! Let's hope I can create something pretty and tasty sometime soon!

Julep Taylor w/o top coat

Essie Shine of the Times over Julep Taylor

Julep Taylor is gorgeous by itself, but combined with Essie Shine of the Times, it's over the top pretty! I'm in love with Essie Shine of the Times from Essie Luxeffects collection. The glitter is unique. It's different from any other glitter I've seen and the color changes depending on lights. It would probably look better if I use a darker shade polish as a base, but I'm still in love <3

I fell in love with Chanel Paradoxal nail polish when I saw the swatch online. I'm hesitant to drop $25 for a nail polish so I started searching for a dupe of this nail polish. I found this Revlon new collection Naughty to be a pretty close match to Chanel Paradoxal. I don't have Paradoxal, but from what I saw online, it's a good dupe!

Mid-week nails

My previous polish already chipped within just couple of days, so I decided to change my polish mid-week. I was really excited for this nail polish, until I started applying it. It took me 3 coats to get to this color and the polish is very lumpy. This is my first Butter London nail polish and I'm so disappointed :( I'm thinking it's probably an old stock that I got. I have another one I bought the same time I got this one, not sure if I want to return it or try it out. We'll see.

My Julep Maven Box

Julep is having a promo for the maven box: first box for $0.01 with free shipping. After looking at so many Julep swatches lately, I decided to take the plunge. They offered a couple different selection and I picked the "Classic with a Twist" package. It arrives in my front door today. I'm so excited to try them out!
