I fell in love with Chanel Paradoxal nail polish when I saw the swatch online. I'm hesitant to drop $25 for a nail polish so I started searching for a dupe of this nail polish. I found this Revlon new collection Naughty to be a pretty close match to Chanel Paradoxal. I don't have Paradoxal, but from what I saw online, it's a good dupe!

Mid-week nails

My previous polish already chipped within just couple of days, so I decided to change my polish mid-week. I was really excited for this nail polish, until I started applying it. It took me 3 coats to get to this color and the polish is very lumpy. This is my first Butter London nail polish and I'm so disappointed :( I'm thinking it's probably an old stock that I got. I have another one I bought the same time I got this one, not sure if I want to return it or try it out. We'll see.

My Julep Maven Box

Julep is having a promo for the maven box: first box for $0.01 with free shipping. After looking at so many Julep swatches lately, I decided to take the plunge. They offered a couple different selection and I picked the "Classic with a Twist" package. It arrives in my front door today. I'm so excited to try them out!

Nail of the week & Cavallo Point

A bit late to post, but here's my nail of the week. My fingers look chunky in this pic :(

We stayed at Cavallo Point in Sausalito for 2 nights couple of weeks ago. The property is really pretty and our room is gorgeous overlooking Golden Gate bridge. I love the fireplace in the room and even though the room is simple, I feel like it's very cozy.

Even Whiskey gets a king treatment here! They gave him a bag of goodies when we checked in. And he also has his own bed and bowls in the room. He loves it there!

One downside is the staffs are really noisy in the morning. Other than that, everything is great!

New Year 2012 Resolutions

I never really do any new year resolutions since I know I won't be able to keep them throughout the year, but this year, I want to make some and hopefully I can keep some until the end of the year!

Saving money! Now that I have a house, I need to do more self control on $$. It's so hard to do since I love shopping very much, but I'm trying!
Exercise more: badminton, gym, etc. We did actually go to play badminton yesterday for 2.5hours, so that's a start!
Doing Project Life for 2012. I am going to take a picture everyday in 2012. I still don't know where I'm going to post them, but for now, I created a folder in my laptop to save each day's pic.

That's all for now. The first two will be the hardest to do! Let's see how long I can keep it!

Nail of the week and everything else

This week I decided to try one of the NYX polishes that I got. I'm so excited to try the Bermuda Triangle. It looks gorgeous in the bottle and it looks even better on my nails!

RV is going back to Indo for 2 weeks last weekend, so we had lunch together on Friday. There's so many restaurants I want to try in downtown Mt. View and for this time, I picked Vaso Azzurro. I was really excited to eat there because of all the rave reviews, but it was pretty disappointing. The foods are bland and we ended up spending $50 for lunch!
