Quattro

RV bought this Travelzoo deal for dinner at Quattro, so we decided to try it this weekend. Reviews in Yelp is so-so, so we don't have big expectations.

The restaurant is located inside Four Seasons Hotel in East Palo Alto. The hotel is really nice and I love the decor inside the restaurant. It's very casual with some big TVs  around the restaurant.

The voucher we have includes 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts and 2 glasses of sparkling wine for both of us. After ordering, the server served us breads; one is kinda' garlic-ky and the other is just a plain white bread.

My appetizer is the veal carpaccio. I don't usually like rare meats, but this one is slightly cooked and tasted okay, so I enjoyed it.

RV got the seafood salad. This definitely tasted better! But RV said it tasted like airlines foods ("__")'

For entrees we got rib eye and grouper. The foods are just okay. I wish both have more seasonings, but it's not that bad.

My favorites were the desserts! RV loved the desserts too! We got tiramisu and italian donuts with dark chocolate and salty caramel dippings. *love*

Bottom line, we don't think we're coming back. It's too pricey for the kind of foods we got. I heard they have Sunday Supper deal which is better deal than the Travelzoo coupon, so if you want to try eating here, that might be a good option for you.

Current Morning and Night Face Routines

Morning:
- First Aid Beauty Cleanser w/ Clarisonic
- Fresh lemon toner(wait 1-2 minutes until it dries)
- Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair
- Sebamed Moisturizing Cream for Sensitive Skin
- Makeup Forever HD Microperfecting Primer in Green
- Chanel Perfection Lumiere/Vitalumiere Aqua(depending how much coverage I need)
- Laura Mercier Secret Concealer
- Laura Mercier Eye Canvas
- Guerlain Meteorites Powder
- Estee Lauder Lip Moisturizer

Night:
- DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
- Fresh lemon toner(wait 1-2 minutes until it dries)
- Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair
- Sebamed Moisturizing Cream for Sensitive Skin
- Bye Bye Blemish(for spot treatment)

1-2 times a week, I exfoliate using sugar scrub. I haven't found a mask that I like, but I am currently using Origins and Sothys.

Wow, now that I listed it, I use so many products in the morning. No wonder I keep on having to wake up earlier and earlier each day! Well, these combinations works for me now though, so I will stick to it.

Nail of the week & Cavallo Point

A bit late to post, but here's my nail of the week. My fingers look chunky in this pic :(

China Glaze Oxidized Blue over OPI No Room for the Blues

We stayed at Cavallo Point in Sausalito for 2 nights couple of weeks ago. The property is really pretty and our room is gorgeous overlooking Golden Gate bridge. I love the fireplace in the room and even though the room is simple, I feel like it's very cozy.

Even Whiskey gets a king treatment here! They gave him a bag of goodies when we checked in. And he also has his own bed and bowls in the room. He loves it there!

One downside is the staffs are really noisy in the morning. Other than that, everything is great!

New Year 2012 Resolutions

I never really do any new year resolutions since I know I won't be able to keep them throughout the year, but this year, I want to make some and hopefully I can keep some until the end of the year!
  • Saving money! Now that I have a house, I need to do more self control on $$. It's so hard to do since I love shopping very much, but I'm trying!
  • Exercise more: badminton, gym, etc. We did actually go to play badminton yesterday for 2.5hours, so that's a start!
  • Doing Project Life for 2012. I am going to take a picture everyday in 2012. I still don't know where I'm going to post them, but for now, I created a folder in my laptop to save each day's pic.
That's all for now. The first two will be the hardest to do! Let's see how long I can keep it!

Nail of the week and lego

Still in NYX mood. This week color is my favorite color and I must say this is the perfect purple nail polish I've ever had.

NYX Girl Fierce Purple

My friend made these lego costumes for his office halloween party with his friends. It looks so cool I just have to try it on! They made the full body and everything looks like a real lego! Here are some pics I took just with the head on :)

Back from Hawaii!

WARNING: This post is pictures-heavy!

I'm back from my week vacation in Maui. It was exciting and tiring as well. The first few days we need to wake up early due to the activities we are doing, but overall, it was a great trip!

We started our trip by going to Old Lahaina Luau the same day we arrived. It was a new experience for all of us since we've never been to any luau before. The settings are beautiful and the location is by the beach with a lot of different activities and of course, foods!

I really recommend this place to have your luau experience. The foods were just okay, but the view, the attractions and pre-attractions were great!

We actually got a chance to see how they cook kalua pork! They seasoned the whole pig, wrapped it in leaves and cooked it in an "underground oven".

The next day, we started our day early and headed to Hana. If you've been to Maui before, you know going to Hana takes forever and the roads are crazy! We did make some great stops to take pictures and enjoy the scenery.

I might not go there again if I go back to Maui, but for first timers, it definitely a must! It took us the whole day round trip from our hotel in Kaanapali to Hana.

We stopped at Mama's Fish House on the way back to have dinner. We did not have a reservation and we waited for an hour. However, it's located by the beach so we played with the sands and took pictures and one hour seems like 5 minutes!
